WHAT EXACTLY IS TRISTATE LOCAL BIZ?

My husband and I have owned several businesses in Matamoras since 1984—accounting, payroll, tax preparation, and community property management.
Over the years, I also served as a Director for the Tristate Chamber of Commerce, worked as a SCORE mentor, and hosted small conferences for small business owners with local professionals—attorneys, banks, and other business services.
And through all of that, I kept noticing the same thing:
Small business owners weren’t lacking effort.
They were lacking support.
Not big, complicated programs.Just real, practical help.
A place to be found if they didn’t have a website yet.
A little guidance when they had to figure things out on their own.
A better understanding of how to bring in customers.
Because most of the time, they’re doing everything themselves.
That’s where Tristate Local Biz came from.
I wanted to create a place where a small business could have something of its own.
Not a listing buried on a page with dozens of others.
Not something confusing or expensive.
Just a simple, clean page that actually helps people find them.
Each business gets its own page with:
Its name and service area
An About section
Links to their social media
A Contact section
Each page also has its own unique link—so it works like a website, without having to figure out domains, design, or any of the technical side.
We also encourage simple marketing consistency:
a couple of promotions each month, and at least one good photo.
Nothing overwhelming.
Just enough to stay visible.
There are no contracts. No long-term commitments.
It’s a simple monthly subscription: $29.99 for basic, $49.99 for premium.
There are no contracts.
Cancel anytime.
TLB is meant for businesses across Pike County, PA, Sussex County, NJ, and Orange County, NY.
One place for the tristate.
We also added small things to make it easier for customers to navigate:
Badges for Founding Members, New Members, and Established Members.
Rising Star badge for businesses that are starting to gain traction.
Local Spotlight, which gives a business a chance to be featured front and center on the homepage.
From the beginning, I wanted the website to be clear and honest.
No hype.
Just the truth:
Marketing takes time.
Usually a few months before you really start to see movement.
And because we believe in what we built, Founding Members can try it for three months at no cost.
Because something like TLB should prove its value to you.
Not the other way around.
Because small business owners carry too much.
Wearing every hat.
Solving every problem.
There should be a place that makes this part just a little easier.
That’s the goal of Tristate Local Biz.
